Meet Oscar Beltran, a Bolivian musician who calls himself Yatiri. Yatiri translated from a traditional Inca Quechua language of the Andes means “the healer”. I am not sure if Oscar’s music can heal but it certainly can sooth the soul. He plays Charango, a 10-string guitar like instrument, the Quena (flute) and the Siku (panpipes). From familiar “El Cóndor Pasa”, through “lambada” to more traditional south American folk songs. You can find out more about Oscar on his website www.yatiri.net. There is a lot of passion in his music and it seems to reflect in his radiant face.
