This is quite paradoxical but few hours before my father passed away I went out with my wife and a couple of friends to an Oktoberfest at Terrigal. I must say I had a lot of fun, I event danced (must have been first time in years).
Naturally, other than some corny German folk music there is little in common with the actual Oktoberfest. The food was “questionable” and not a lot of selection in German beers. Never the less everyone made a party out of it. Many people even dressed up for the occasion.
