Dead Tree Reaching Out To The Sky MG_2349 digital photograph by Ted Szukalski
This photograph of a dead tree was taken from George’s Head, which is situated in the suburb of Balmoral on Middle Head in Sydney Harbour. There is a whole number of these trees, they seem to be older then underlaying bushland, and they form quite eery looking mini forest. Their branches reach way above all other growth as if they were asking the sky for another chance of life.
The undergrowth here is very dense and the trees are on a very steep side of the bush. This particular tree was easy to reach as it was very close to the entry to the park. I don’t think I’d dare to get closer to the other ones.
