Tanks
Few days ago I posted a photograph of an armoured personnel carrier parked next to Australia Square. Today I found three of these “tanks” in a imposing set-up on a small Angel Place street.
These vintage military vehicles are part of installation art by artist Adam Norton, who sourced three ex-army vehicles from private collectors. Norton’s vision here is to show people of Sydney how much freedom they have and emphasise we are still the “lucky country”

Studebaker MG_6826
This very imposing, yellow vintage Studebaker was one of many cars on exhibition at The Entrance. The collection was very impressive and contained vehicles from early 1920s to late 1960s, when Studebaker ceased producing these classic American automobiles.
Visit the Studebaker photographic gallery
PS: this actual photograph was taken by my new “assistant” - my son Sebastian.

Benz 1912 MG_6395-41-41
This vintage, 1912 Benz cabriolet, according to its owner, is the only example of this particular model in the world. The car was designed and manufactured by the inventor of gasoline combustion engine and first commercial manufacturer of cars - Karl Benz. It clearly features laurels logo used on Benz & Cie vehicles after 1909.
Do not confuse the Benz make with Mercedes-Benz, which as a company, was created 14 years later.

Pink-FJ-Holden_MG_4060
I have photographed this “shocking pink” FJ Holden in a suburban shopping centre car park. The owners ,(an older couple) were very excited that someone has shown an interest in their immaculately restored car. They left the car without me asking ensuring I had a “clean” image. Then they proceeded to show me their own photos of this and 4 other FJs. You could see they were very passionate about their cars.
The photo itself benefited from someone lining behind this car with their light on and thus providing the back light and under chassis light. The front of the car was lit by shop’s lighting.
