Here is a photo of Brian McFadden singing “Only a Woman Can”, a song he apparently wrote for Delta Goodrem. Brian is currently touring NSW to promote his album Set In Stone. I have taken this photograph of Keith Urban, while he was performing for Sunrise - a Channel & breakfast show. I must admit I do not know hie music and probably as most people I only know his name because he is married to Nicole Kidman. His music is labeled as a country style and I guess this is why I never listed to him before. However, he is a fine rocker. His performance in the studio was certainly an ear opener for me. Although “I told you so” song, for example, features some of country instrumentation it is easily a good pop or rock song depends how your ears are inclined. I guess my perception of what country music is way outdated.
Glowing from her success the beautiful singer, Ricki-Lee Coulter is posing for me from within Channel-7 Studio. When the Sunrise show was over and everyone was gone I managed to get her attention through 2 layers of 3/4inch glass. She gave me this most generous smile. Thank you Ricki-Lee. I hope your songs “Can’t Sing A Different Song” and “Can’t Touch It” do well as in fact the whole “Brand New Day” album (just gone gold) should. I’m not into pop music but this song is really lively and catchy.
Now, I have to find this talented rapper again. I was in a hurry on my way back to the office so I managed only this one photograph of him. I have to state I do not like rappers but what this man was doing was real art - real singing. I hope to meet him again.
Mika performed his signature hit “why don’t you like me” at Channel 7 studio today. It was on of the most energetic performances I’ve seen there for a while. He engaged the crew, presenters and everyone else around him. He jumped and danced and was obviously full of energy and joy. It is a pity it was so cold and the mini concert was not taken outside as there was quite a sizable crowd of fans admiring him from the outside.
