Trees and shadows
Here is another unusual scenery photograph. I found these two trees in Hunter Valley near a remote vineyard. Midday sun provided the strong vertical shadows creating fascinating patterns on the grass around the trees.

Hunter Valley
Hunter Valley is world famous for its excellent wines. It is a major tourist attraction as it is only 2 hours drive north of Sydney. Once you there and you enjoyed your wine tasting, excellent food and serene scenery you may wander why this flat hilly land is called a valley. To find the answer to this question you need to find the right sandy road that will take up high the the surrounding hills and if you lucky you will be viewing this vast landscape with the a matching hill group far on the horizon defining the valley.

Horse and an Old Tree MG_2249
I keep returning to this farm and it rewards me with interesting situations very often. Today I have noticed this horse, motionless in front of the old tree as if mesmerised by the sound of the leafs in the wind. I had the time to stop the car, setup my tripod, take 3 photographs and the horse still has not moved. Only when I folded the tripod down it walked away as if the photo session was over and it did its job.
Treebeard meets Mr. Ed - now that is the second story in this photograph. Look carefully and it looks like the tree is extending its branches like hands over the horse in some mystical ceremony and the remorseful steed has no option but to listen.
