Naomi dancing in the street MG_6338-20

I have photographed Naomi near channel 7 studios. She was an obvious photographic choice due to her coordinated outfit and her happy behaviour. What was she doing? She had her headphones on, listening to music and dancing a routine right in front of me.

Oh, I have a question: Why do all girls think that they look horrible on photographs? Is it just to make us compliment them to the contrary? Well it worked on me. Naomi, you looked fantastic and I loved your dance steps.

Gorgeous Girl with hot, red hair MG_5732

There was no other way to capture this gorgeous girl with her vibrant red hair. I had to ask her for a pose, to which request she agreed easily, almost of enthusiasm.

I have taken a short series of shots with her looking at me or the camera. I have shown her the photo and she relaxed her pose a bit. Now I could take few more photographs which did not look posed. She was comfortable and relaxed her stance. She has also turned slightly away from the camera. I was much happier with this photograph.

I have thanked her for being such good model and I have given her my card. I forgot one thing: ask for her name. So, if you are looking at your photograph please email me with your name, please!

Update: The mystery of the name has been uncovered. Alexi, thank you for writing.

Tall redhead on the train

On my way home tonight I came across this very tall redhead. She had all the attributes of a fashion model: attractive, slender with fashionable hair do and clothing. She was standing with her back to me. I have to change trains at central so I had only 2 minutes to ask her to pose for a photo. I’ve done that three times and received no reply - not even an acknowledgment of a conversation. As we were pulling down into central the girl has turned around and only then I have noticed she had her iPod headphones in her ears. Now that she faced me I’ve asked again. The train was about to leave so the moment she said yes, I’ve done this quick shot. I’ve shown it to the girl, and she replied “horrible” even before she looked and laughed. I’ve said “thank you” and that was it. The photo was done in a very dim light at high ISO but I like the overall result.

Lucia - redhead with a tattoo is yet another photo of a girl with an obvious character. She had a good laugh when I’ve shown her this photograph and had no hesitations in letting me show it here. What a good sport.

Girl with multicolour hair

Here is a simple street portrait of a girl with multicolour hair. Nice smile and pretty face was enough for this photographer to take notice. Her conservative, elegant jacket was a bit at odds with the radical hair, but together it seemed to fit well.

Redhead on pedestrian crossing

In her long body hugging dress this gorgeous girl was drawing fair bit of attention from everyone. I guess it should be no surprise as she had a beautiful, sexy figure and her red hair contrasted strongly with the pastel colours of the dress. Even the man in the poster behind her seems to be looking at her.

Redhead Rocket

This young lady who I call Redhead Rocket just zoomed in front of my camera. I think I managed to capture how dynamic her step was. In this case I did use Canon 580EX as a fill in flash to get some details in her black top.
