Wet golden retriever puppy

Golden retrievers are known for their love of water. You just cannot keep them away. They love swimming and chasing ducks. This is all true unless you are a 4 month old golden retriever puppy. As you can see from this photograph he was less than impressed with water. He followed the bigger dogs into the water but love it? No way. You know that stuff is wet and cold and drips of the fur. Who said water is fun?

Golden Retriever puppy - Gucio

I got an early father’s day present this year - a 12 week old golden retriever boy puppy, which I called Gucio.

You may not realise but one of my most popular photographs in this gallery with 1000s of views every week is that of a girl golden retriever we got last year called Buttercup.

Learning to pose

Golden Retriever, Puppy Training

Golden Retriever, Puppy Training

Anyone who follows my blog will by now know my new model - our new Golden Retriever puppy called Buttercup. At 10 weeks her modeling career is taking off with a big bark. However, this model is very level headed and realises not everyone makes it in the highly competitive modeling industry and thus she is not neglecting to learn skill which she may fall back to if Ford model agency does not sign her up soon.

PS. This is my first shot with my new Canon EF-S 10-22 F/3.5-4.5 ultra wide lens.

Golden Retriever Puppy - Buttercup MG_1848

Here is the newest member of our family a Golden Retriever Puppy called Buttercup. She is currently close to 9 weeks old and as you can see from the photograph is working hard on the well known and deserved characteristic of the breed - placid, obedient and always trying to please the owner. The words sit, stay etc must be all gibberish to her at this time as no amount of persuasion or rewards would get her to pose for the camera.
