This photograph is a little tribute to two very talented Chilean guitar players who entertain crowds in Sydney’s Martin Place. Their music can be heard from afar. It is always full of rhythm and passion.
Trumpeter courier – Sydney icon
by Ted Szukalski |The trumpeter courier is one these unlikely characters that become an icon of the city. For years his music has been heard around the CBD. Usually in the mornings or at the end of the business day he stops somewhere and performs a number of well known tunes. While I was photographing him he was playing “El condor passa” – traditional Peruvian tune popularised by Paul Simon.
Gypsy playing accordion
by Ted Szukalski |In a scene more reminiscent of Paris than Sydney I came across this happy gypsy playing accordion and singing a Romany song. Just look at his face full of happiness and passion for his music.
Trumpeter
by Ted Szukalski |I really enjoyed the music played by this trumpeter. It was loud, lively and really engaging. This young musician really knew how to play that trumpet. Thank you for few minutes of an excellent entertainment.
Guitarist Tom Ward
by Ted Szukalski |Tom Ward is one of the most talented buskers you can come across in Sydney. He often performs his dynamic and full of energy music at Pitt Street Mall.
As you can see form this picture Tom clearly loves his music and I for one enjoy his talent and virtuosity.
