I have noticed an interesting light situation across the road from where I stood. I was hoping someone would walk straight into that light. I did not have to wait long. The girl with large, black butique bag walked into this scene just seconds later. Capturing her with her foot in the air was however pure luck.

I walked through Darling Harbour today on my way to the train station. The nice golden light of late afternoon was about to disappear behind the tall buildings. The street lights, now in the shadow, due to their uneven glass were deforming the view behind them. In this case windows of a hotel building.

This photograph is all about special light. Early morning, empty Sydney streets and the light is soft and gold. In and empty walkway a pretty girl in a bright yellow top and black tights walks straight into that light: click. Doesn’t she look like a Hollywood star?

This man was either waiting for someone of looking at something in a distance. He also happened to stand on a border between lit and shaded area which provided for an interesting light play on his clothing and face.

There is an anchor sculpture next to the Sydney Town Hall building. This man stood in front of it for a considerable amount of time studding it very carefully. The sculpture is quite simple and rather “ordinary” and yet he took quite an interest in it. After few minutes of looking at it he took a camera out and took what seemed to be a single photograph. Perhaps he was an art student on an assignment.
While he was studying the sculpture I had to be patient to get a clear photograph of him as this is rather busy place with many pedestrians. I was rather lucky as this was a cloudy, overcast day and the light conditions were less then favourable for photography but then in time some light got through the cloud cover and illuminated his face and the tip of the anchor.

I’ve captured this car park light while waiting for my wife. She had to stay back a bit longer at work so I’ve started to search for something to photograph. Naturally since the light is the brightest thing around it was the last thing I’ve spotted.
