A photograph of an older couple standing in front of the Queen Victoria building and talking about something behind them as the man’s pointing hand may indicate. I took this photograph because of their relation to the direction he was pointing to. I could imagine him saying “this behind us, my dear, is a Queen Victoria Building and we are standing right next to the Queen Victoria statue” and yet neither of them turned around to look.
Triangulation
by Ted Szukalski |Here is a situation I think I have completely misread at the time of taking this photograph. The two women of the opposite ends of the view are focused on the man in the middle. My initial thought was: he must be a good looker, a catch, so to speak. Than when I looked at home at this picture I see site of reservation on their faces. It got me thinking a bit why would he generate such strange reaction. more …
Prelude to a kiss
by Ted Szukalski |There was something theatrical or perhaps movie like in this scene. The couple were about to kiss for “hello” in front of a fashion butique. The pose of the couple seems to be warm and romantic. A mannequin behind them on another hand seems to watch the kiss, with cold, absent eyes.
Girl in sunglasses
by Ted Szukalski |This pretty girl in sunglasses is not puzzled. She is a photographer and she was trying to do what I enjoy the most – taking candid photographs of people. As you can see from this photo she took her time to observe people coming towards her and then she would make a decision to take a photograph. She did all the right things: she was obvious, bold and stood her ground without hiding. Well done.
Woman in orange scarf
by Ted Szukalski |Here is a scene seen very often in any tourist destination. A woman on her way to the Sydney Opera House is walking and her only vision forwards is the view of her camera viewfinder. Just look at the level of concentration on her face.
The video bug aside I though she was an excellent model for this photograph because of her bright orange attire and matching bracelets on her hand. Very colourful and decorative.
