Martin place was very busy today as it was hosting the annual corporate event. Although very colourful and possibly interesting to a photographer, the even was effectively fenced off from the very public it meant to attract. I think some public event organisers need their heads examined for basic logic.

I turned into Castlereagh Street and walked into the scene you see on the photograph. A man and a woman embracing each other. There was some genuine warm feeling about this scene emphasized by woman’s closed eye and a big smile on her face. This is a peculiar location for photography as this stretch of Castlereagh Street’s pedestrian strip is under semi transparent awning, which diffuses light very nicely.

It’s very rainy Friday evening so I though I’ll post a heart warming photograph of this young, affectionate couple. They were kissing and hugging while waiting for the pedestrian light to turn green.

After a week of high fashion and excitement from catwalk straight back to everyday, “ordinary” life. Here, a playful couple embracing each other on the grass.

How long should a hug last? Well, according to this couple it was worth utilising the duration of red light at pedestrian crossing for good, long hug.

I saw these two girls talking to each other in the middle of Hyde Park foot path. I was not planning to take a photo of them until I saw them embrace each other with obvious joy.
