Today, Castlereagh street reminded cordoned off by police after the 20m section of scaffolding has partially collapsed threatening a major disaster. The structure is still very unstable as you can see from the photograph and is a major concern for both engineers and police. As it stands there is no easy and safe way to recover it nor is there a way to dismantle it without endangering workmen involved.
It will be interesting to see how the authorities and builders resolve this issue. I am certain a lot of questions will be asked to explain how it could have occurred in the first place. Luckily no one got hurt.
A disturbing photograph of a man in anguish folded on the pavement of the Pitt Street Mall. He was approached by a number of people, who have shown concern for his wellbeing. However, each of them walked away after exchanging few words with him. He was not begging and he did not ask for help.
Few days ago I took a lot of photographs, a lot more then usual as I was trying to get some good shots for “My day in photos project“. This photo of young, attractive couple was one of the shots from the day. They looked beautiful together and it was obvious they were in love: kissing and hugging. I was about to take their photo while they were embraced in a hug but by the time I’ve raised my camera to my eye the mood has suddenly changed. They still held their hands in togetherness but their faces seemed to express some concern. Whatever it is I hope they’ll overcome it together.
