Chinese musician
There was something surreal about this old Chinese musician playing a traditional instrument in front of the Sydney Fashion Festival tent. So close in distance and so distant in the cultural heritage. The was piece of paper you see at his feet is sheet music.

Chinese Spectacular Promotion MG_5714
There was a group of performers dressed in traditional Chinese costumes promoting Chinese Spectacular show, which will be shown in the Sydney Entertainment Center. I could not refuse such inviting pose and the vibrant colours.

Dragon Dance, China Town, Sydney Australia
Chinese Dragon Dance is traditionally performed during the New Year celebrations. In this case however, it was performed with intention to bring good luck to a function held by a bank in Sydney’s China Town. The dance lasted about 30 minutes and was visibly physically demanding on the performers. Colourful, red and gold costumes as well as very loud drums brought attention of countless passers by.

Another street portrait of a Chinese girl. She was at the King Street Wharf with her family, enjoying a beautiful but cold and windy afternoon.

I came across a Chinese family at King Street Wharf. There were talking to each other, feeding the seagulls and simply having fun. I took few portraits of this older woman as she had very expressive face.
