Lunchtime read
In contrast to a post from few days showing men working at a cafe during lunch this young office worker obviously appreciates a bit of break from work. Absorbed by reading a book he seems to be totally unaware of the people in the eatery. Notice, that although he is dressed immaculately in a nice suit and white shirt - he has taken his tie off to make himself more comfortable.

Girl reading a book
Looking at this girl reading a book at the Australia Square building today’s during lunch is somehow reassuring. In the age of electronic gadgetry a good book still holds its value.

Coffee for one girl
Another classic street portrait. A pretty girl studying from her book at a street side cafe.

Dr. Karl Kruszelnicki
I had the pleasure to meet today Dr. Karl Kruszelnicki during the launch of his new book “It ain’t necessarily so bro”. I bought a copy of the book for my son, Sebastian and Dr. Karl was kind enough to autograph the book with a dedication. I’ve asked him about his Polish surname. He did confirm he has Polish ancestry but he does not speak the language.

“David Boon nicknamed ‘Boony’ because of his surname, the stocky-builded moustached batsman’s popularity was recently extended beyond the pitch, where he became something of a cult figure for his drinking exploits and singing of team songs.
He was a stocky right-hand batsman who fielded at short leg.
Making his Test debut against the West Indies in Brisbane in 1984, he went on to be one of Australia’s most prolific run scorers. Currently he is a member of the Cricket Australia selection panel that selects the Australian Cricket Team for international matches.” (source:Wikipedia)

So, what book would you write if you are Australia’s one of the most favourite cricketers? A cook book of course. Matthew Hayden signing copies of his Cookbook.
