I was in the carriage that filled up with smoke, the A/C didnt help at all with it blowing the smoke more into the carrage, no PA announcement, not even fire alarms, I'd hate to be asleep when a real fire occurs in one of these trains.

The guy on the PA allowed us to return into the train and seem to be asking for assistance from HQ? saying "hi, is anyone there" etc., poor training and lack of experiance may be the cause of delayed comms and bad judgement.

On 2 December, another central coast train had one of its carrages fill with smoke on the oscar trains, instead of stopping and evaculating the train, it continued for about 5-7 minutes to get to Gosford and again, no comms with cityrail at all this time.

Cityrail needs to learn that keeping people in the dark and preventing bad policity is worse then possibly injuring or killing people because they didnt want to execute proper fire evac procedures and have to deal with the press.

I can so understand this lady. I can never figure out when to cross the road but then again I cross with traffic lights when possible.

I love the contrast between old buildings in the background and super sweet cars in the foreground. :)

Nice shot. I notice too that everywhere I go people are talking on their phones. Have to wonder what is so important that people have to be talking all the time, even in the grocery stores and public rest rooms (ick). One of my recent trips was to a location w/ no cell service. It was so nice to have peace and quiet and not be subjected to listening to everyone's phone conversations all the time. While I see the benefit of a cell phone i.e. emergencies, they are one technology that I wish had not been created due to their tendency to make rude people even more rude. Not to mention how dangerous it is due to drivers talking on their cell phones and not paying attention to the road.

That's really the focus of much of my photography. I usually go to someplace interesting and just meander till I find a pattern to shoot. Its really the basis for much of my work.

This was an awesome movie. I and my husband are in our mid 60's, and the audience we sat with was similar. Unfortunately, I don't think that the 20's kids will be willing to sit through 3 hours of great movie-making. I only hope that the stars and the move will be nominated for Oscars. I can easily see why Hugh is People's Sexiest Man of 08 and Nicole looks fragile, but is a real "steel Magnolia" I would give it the maximum number of stars or whatevers!

Dear Ted,
I hope that you are the same person I e-mailed you last year or are you another Szukalski living in Australia.
Your pictures are delightful. It reminds of my younger brother Ted that did the same thing. Unfortunately he didn't continue and most of his photo's where lost.
I would like to hear from you as I am looking into our family genealogy.
Best Wishes
J szukalski
