PETA activist and model Dani Lugosi put on display her impressive collection of tattoos in protest of wearing mink fur. Wearing little less than a skin coloured modesty cloth and a sign “Ink, not mink” she braved the lunchtime crowd in Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall. She drew a considerable interest from media photographers and countless passers by. Keeping straight face despite many racy comments she posed for media and any one else brave enough to approach her.

A large contingent of builders, who are involved on many building sites in Pitt Street, found the near naked display quite amusing initially. This amusement has transformed into form or admiration for Dani’s bravery and conviction to her cause. I think, judging by the comments from the crowd, this was the common perception to this PETA protest.

Does Dani Lugosi realise that tattoo artists often practice on pig skin when they first learning to tattoo.

So what is humane about that

Great shot as usual Ted. I admire her bravery and commitment to the PETA cause. The horrible way animals are treated and the horrific way they are killed for their furs( e.g. electrocution, skinned alive) needs to stop and the more people become aware of such practices the greater the chance for halting this terrible practice. As Gandhi said: “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”

    Well done Ted.

    Hi Knowledge,
My tattooist never learnt on pigskin, his first ever tattoo was my star sign on my toe.
