Rocks – long exposure

Long exposure is often used in water photography to show the water movement. Too long and the water looks like plastic coating. Not long enough and the effect is totally lost on the viewer. In this photograph I wanted to create an effect where the rocks would be very solid and the water would be turned into cloud like mist. This is a bit more tricky than a simple long exposure. I have used the waves to create the effect but photographing not only using the long exposure setting but also exposing the same photograph many times and blending it together in software. This photograph is a composite of 7 individual photos.
