This photograph illustrates the air we have to breath while walking through the streets of Sydney courtesy of smokers. Every few meters people are having a cigarette and in most cases we do not see the smoke even if we may smell its choking fumes. It takes a big of sunlight on the right angle to show how much smoke a person exhales in a single puff.

PS: I know cigarettes are legal but they carry a lot of health warnings about the consequences of smoking them, so where is my right not to have to inhale this hazardous substance?

Plastic bags are recognisable issue when it comes to the environment. They do not degrade quick enough after use and often are the cause of wildlife deaths. Lush, a company which makes reusable bags was running this “Plastic bag monster” campaign in Pitt Street Mall. The reusable bags have been introduced to Australia now few years back but the use of plastic bags is still very high.

I watched in horror as this man on a bicycle, casually crossed a major city intersection on a red light. Sydney drivers are quite careful but this is asking for trouble. I know it is only midday but the sun comes on an acute angle and many drivers would have difficulty seeing him against the sunlight.
