I hope one of the visitors here can shed some light on this: why can Muslims smoke and yet they cannot drink because alcohol harms you.

Someone has left this cut Tulip flower on the steal post. I thought it looked very symbolic there with its vibrant colours against the cold metal.

One of my favourite moments in photography is when I manage to capture a clear facial expression like in this photograph where an Asian girl is reading a text message on her mobile phone and it is obviously puzzled by it.

This older couple was resting on a bench at Martin Place watching the activities in front of the War Memorial.

I walked through Darling Harbour today on my way to the train station. The nice golden light of late afternoon was about to disappear behind the tall buildings. The street lights, now in the shadow, due to their uneven glass were deforming the view behind them. In this case windows of a hotel building.

Either waiting for someone or simply soaking the warmth of the midday sun this Asian girl was rested against the tree and watching the crowds of people go by.
