This is a very special photograph for me. Firstly because I did not have to ask this homeless man if I can take a photograph of him. He asked me to take a photo. Secondly, this is a very rare occasion where a homeless person was actually very happy.
And the secret behind his joy? The man received a brand new pair of Dr. Martens boots. He was overjoyed with them and asked everyone around if they liked his new, red boots.
Thought provoking shot! Makes me realise how much I take things for granted…
I also like the candid shot of the couple on their lunch break

Great shot of the homeless guy. It’s a nice, refreshing change to see a shot like this that doesn’t patronise the subject or make them look pathetic - great work.
