Scooters

Only few months ago I have mentioned that scooter sales must be the fastest growing transport business in Sydney. Just over half a year later you can see them everywhere. Parked tightly next to each other in side alleys like in this photograph or in special motorcycle provided parking stations. However, their numbers are still overwhelmed by number of cars in the city. I guess our wet summer is not always encouraging to drive a scooter to work.

River of people

River of people

River of people

A small lunchtime scene from Sydney. Never ending river of people in the CBD - getting their lunches, doing shopping and general business. Seeing that many young faces amongst this crowd it is hard to believe this country has people shortages and has to entice families with monetary rewards to have children.

Will - Builder and a photographer

Will - Builder and a photographer

I must say it took me a second to convince myself to ask this huge guy to pose for a photograph. He was clearly interested in my camera and thus in the end it was a very easy task. Will did surprise me when agreeing to being photographed he answered: “Well alright, but I’m used to be on the other side of the camera”. So there you go - this smiling builder proved to be yet another fellow photographer. Thanks Will, you have been a great sport.
