Cat’s Killer Instinct

Our cat is a regular moggie. Meows a lot, cares only for its food and a good place to sleep - preferably my arm chair (no sharing involved). As any cat it will hunt a mouse or a rat from time to time and I guess we are grateful for that service as living close to the bush we do get bush rats and they are a real pest and difficult to get rid off.

However, at the moment it is not a popular pet in our household as she has killed a beautiful sugar glider during the night. I think I’ve managed to capture the cat’s killer instinct in this photograph.

Trapped water droplets

It is absolutely bracketing at the moment. Pretty poor performance by mother nature on Australia’s first day of summer. My dogs destroyed an insect screen and I’ve left it overnight on the balcony only to notice the dense grid in the screen has trapped some rain drops.
