Head Shot MG_2287

Back to may favourite form of photography - street candids. And again a rediscover of a well known landmark in Sydney. I have passed this place on many occasions and have never noticed the framework it creates for a portrait just like this. A strong urban image / portrait with overwhelming and over sized architectural elements with a small human form.

The mystery of a ghost car and a blonde with red shoes MG_2290

Here is a visual puzzle for you, and I have to say it upfront, there were no digital tricks performed to create this photograph.
A pretty blond girl kicked her red shoes off and is eating her lunch sitting on a tyre of a ghost Volkswagen car and all of it seems to be underwater with air bubbles around her and her legs sticking through a perceived glass. The photograph was taken in the middle of Sydney, nowhere near any aquariums and was not a premeditated setup.

Ugg Boot Is Back MG_2292

It seem the shorts, skirts and dresses are this tiny bit shorter, more daring and revealing this year. With this first summery days in Sydney the girls are out to show their new outfits. Here and there the accessory of last two years the Ugg Boot seems to be retaining its role but is it high fashion?

Besançon, Franche-Comté, France

Our last European holiday destination was Besançon in Franche-Comté district of France. It is another city with reach history. It has been mentioned in Julius Cesar times.

The city center is surrounded by the Doubs river, in the past giving it a fantastic defensive stance and giving the modern tourist fantastic scenic views. It’s Citadelle dominates of the town and is probably the most visited attraction.

This is a very tourist friendly city with lots of small cafes, open air markets and lots of small shops to explore. If you manage to be there during quiet time you may be forgiven for thinking you have moved back in time as the city preserved its character perfectly.
