This photograph has been created with the Canon EF-s 10-22 F/3.4-4.5 Ultra Wide Zoom, Hoya ND8 filter and 2EV spaced exposure bracketing. 3 separate images were combined together using Photomatix Pro to achieve the High Dynamic Range effect. In my tone mapping procedure I’ve tried to achieve a natural result, something that many HDR images lack. I have take three other photographs using the same technique:

• View from the Skillion towards the East
• View from the Skillion towards South-East

Click on the photograph or the link above to see this amazing panorama of French Alps with the majestic Mount Blanc in the center. This photograph has been taken from Col de la Faucille in the French Jura district. Col de la Faucille itself is at 1323m above see level and features spectacular unobstructed views. The distance to Mount Blanc in the straight line is close to 120km. It is a view I will probably never forget.
