This banjo player set himself up right at the entry of Coles opposite the Sydney Town Hall. I admired how his big hands handled the instrument with biggest of ease and obvious virtuosity. Banjo is not a typical basking instrument and it was nice to see and hear something different.

Part of the art of street photography is ability to notice interesting people and events around you. There are some places where I know there are many people with character or are very popular destinations for either tourists or alternative culture youth. However, I did not expect to see people having conversation on the roof of one of small shops in the city center. They may have been workers fixing the roof but at this moment they simply had a engaging talk.

Scooters must be the fastest growing sales in Sydney at the moment. The number of scooters on the streets is visibly increasing from day to day. High petrol prices and lack of parking spaces force smart commuters to purchase these cheap to run and very manouverable vehicles. It also seems like a good fun. Vespa anyone?

This seemingly uninteresting scene represents an issue that is close to the heart for many commuters and travelers on Sydney City Rail. The carriages are not designed for any luggage. Carrying even small backpack, as many commuters do, presents a problem, never mind big suitcases like the ones shown on the photograph.

One of the most colourful characters in Sydney are Japanese tourists. They are young, uninhabited and very extroverted. This seems to be in a stark contrast to the conservative stereotype they are often portrait in media. Here we have a colour coordinated backpacker talking to his friend.
