Romantic alley, lit by the afternoon sun and a beautiful Asian girl - perfect. Julie, who I’ve met right there agreed to this photograph. Thanks Julie, you are a good sport.

I’m very grateful to this man for allowing me to interrupt his meal to take this photograph. The row of empty tables and his sole presence there was only too inviting to this photographer.

I had a good conversation with this man on why I took his photograph in this position. He learnt something about rule of thirds and framing in general. The humorous contrast between advertised “Legends of Kung-Fu” and his very casual stance completes the image. Thank you, you’ve been a great model.

How would you like to dress up this Christmas tree? It took 4 men quite some time and considerable effort to hang all the decorations on this huge tree.

When is a good time for a conversation? Always. Seeing this girl standing in the rain, just at the curb and talking to someone reminded me of the “Singing in the rain” song and dance.

Do not ask me why this cyclist is using the tramway. He simply is.

There is no question Sydney has a lot of very pretty girls. In this case I was drawn to this portrait by the girl’s hand gesture.
