David Boon - Cricket legend
“David Boon nicknamed ‘Boony’ because of his surname, the stocky-builded moustached batsman’s popularity was recently extended beyond the pitch, where he became something of a cult figure for his drinking exploits and singing of team songs.
He was a stocky right-hand batsman who fielded at short leg.
Making his Test debut against the West Indies in Brisbane in 1984, he went on to be one of Australia’s most prolific run scorers. Currently he is a member of the Cricket Australia selection panel that selects the Australian Cricket Team for international matches.” (source:Wikipedia)

Dear David,
I would like to tell you how much you are my hero. You inspire me to be as active as you are in your passion in cricket, even though I do not play, you still inspire me to keep on playing the sport I love netball.
