Reminiscing Moment

Reminiscing Moment

I have taken this photograph few minutes before the sun set. The girl was sitting there in a very relaxed pose, passively observing me as I was taking her photos. She seemed to be interested but the strong sun prevented her from looking directly at me. She seemed to meditate or simply having a reminiscing moment.

Observer

Observer

Today, a number of timer posts was replaced at Circular Quay, Pier 1. The unusual activity drew attention of passers by. This man spend quite a lot of time admiring the skill with which the timer posts were placed both by man and machine power. Situations like that are ideal for street portraiture as people are so absorbed with what they are watching the photographer has a lot more time to compose the image and set the exposure to his liking.

Mate, this is the life

Mate, this is the life

This was a very tricky photograph to take. On one hand the man in the centre was illuminated as if he was on a movie stage. His companion on another hand was in full sun making his white shirt next to impossible to capture without clipping.
