NSW Department of Education Dance show has brought many colourful dance teams. This team in bright green outfits with their silver balls was quite unique in choice of attire because it was not only very effective but also very traditional. Most other teams had much more elaborate costumes which at times were at odds with their ability to perform.

I was most impressed with the singing ability of this high school girl. She is a star in the making with large vocal scale and beautiful and powerful voice. I cannot be certain but I suspect a very formal classical training is behind her talent and if she chooses to follow the singing path I can see a very good soprano talent in her.

NSW Department of Education is currently running a form of self promotion at Sydney’s Martin place. There is a large variety of schools participating in this project. There are a lot of children involved from the youngest to seniors. Here is a senior class in a modern dance. Choreography and costumes for this act were very good and the performers kept the audience mesmerised with their agility.
